Tsunami in 2005 had rendered lots of death and destruction. It was considered as our duty to be part of international aid to the affected people, in whatever small way we can. The association through its office bearers and members dedicated support, efforts and valuable time and collected a sum of Rs. 1.40 lacs and handed over the cheque to the honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat. Please accept my sincere thanks.

Trade Fairs are occasion to bring together the industry and the end user so that it becomes beneficial to both and it eventually increases the volume of business, though, it was first time that a cycle Trade Fair was organised in Ahmedabad participants! from every nook and corner of the country stood shoulder to shoulder with the big industrialists such as Mr. Suresh Munjal(M.D. Marketing Hero Cycles Lts.), Mr. Rajiv Chibbar (TI Cycles of India, Nasik) & Mr. D. K. Sharma (Atlas Cycles Haryana Ltd., Sonepat). The presence of the big industrialist itself showed that the event was a great success.

Today business is dependent on immediate and correct information. So there was a huge need for a Members Directory. Information to the consumer about all the relevant details as the Name, Address, Contact etc. is now readily available. It was an uphill task to get the vast data from all over the country inculding Gujarat and moreover publish it in a very short notice. Again, the office bearers took the challenge and with their hard work completed the task successfully.

I am privileged at being appointed General Secretary of the Ahmedabad Cycle Merchant Association at this momentous junction and once again like to convey my heartfelt appreciation to the Office Bearers for their continuous hard work and support.
